Côte d’Azur is the French name of the Blue Coastline of the Mediterranean in France, also known as French Riviera. End the sea is really BLUE!
Situated in the Southwest of the country, this beautiful area is home to many landmarks and dream travel destinations. Among the most famous are: Èze, Saint-Tropez, Nice, Monte Carlo, Sainte-Maxime, Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Cannes – the city that hosts the annual Cannes Film Festival.
The French Riviera is also part of the “sweet” region of Provence.
Côte d’Azur is a place where many wealthy people of the world including many celebrities have their vacation homes. However it is also a very friendly tourist destination, for people of all budgets.
We traveled some of these fantastic places and this – almost a two week trip was actually my birthday gift from my husband in the summer of 2009 🙂
… We stayed in a B&B in Eze, a small medieval village on the French Riviera, and this is the garden. Although they served the breakfast inside, we did have ours here at this table 🙂
BTW: I just sold this postcard with the view of the Eze medieval fortress on Zazzle
Some of the pictures above are also available as art prints for Home and Wall decor in my Fine Art America France collection
More photos of the famous Côte d’Azur and Provence are coming, but for now you can see them in my main travel photography website: Mediterranean Coast in France collection.
